Students Should be Job Providers, Not Just Job Seekers: Acharya
Arunachal Pradesh governor PB Acharya has stated that his priority for the development of the state is education, electricity and empowerment.
Interacting with representatives of Rajiv Gandhi University (RGU), Doimukh, North Eastern Regional Institute of Science and Technology (NERIST), Nirjuli, National Institute of Technology (NIT), Yupia, North East Zone Cultural Centre (NEZCC), Indian Red Cross Society, Arunachal Pradesh, Bharat Scouts and Guides, and Ex-servicemen Association at Raj Bhawan, the governor emphasized on imparting quality education.
He urged the senior functionaries of higher education in the state to ensure that each student passing out of the institutes are well-versed and employable. “Let us change the mindset of the people, particularly, the youth and motivate them to work hard and excel in life,” asserted Acharya.
Suggesting that the institutes to focus on job oriented subjects, entrepreneurship and avenues and resources related professions, the governor said, “The passed out students should be job providers and not just job seekers.”
The governor, who is the chairman of Ex-servicemen Association, president of Indian Red Cross Society, Arunachal Pradesh and patron of Bharat Scouts and Guides, Arunachal, emphasized on strengthening these organizations for the wellbeing of every citizen. Acharya also advised the Dimapur based NEZCC to register all cultural troupes of the state, so as to facilitate them to participate in cultural events all over the country.
