Meghalaya to Soon Launch Mobile App for Skilling Home » Meghalaya » Meghalaya to Soon Launch Mobile App for Skilling December 20 13:33 2016 👤by Northeast Today  0 Comments Meghalaya Information Technology (IT) and Labour Minister Ampareen Lyngdoh has informed that the state government will soon launch a ‘Mobile App’ for skilling. The Minister made the revelation during the inauguration ceremony of training institute of the IF& FS skills which is also known as the Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Kendra (PMKK) in Shillong. Addressing the occasion, Lyngdoh said, “The department of Labour will soon launch the Mobile APP for skilling and we are currently working on it with the IT department.” Giving an insight on the functioning of the app, Lyngdoh added that the app will benefit the people of the state who are sitting at home and has a pipe that is busted. As they can logon to the app and easily find and locate a plumber closest to their neighborhood. Observing that the country is facing a huge problem with the issue of unemployment, she said, “I have been to so many programmes and meeting initiated by the government of India in Delhi where we have sat together between the officials from the state and central government to jointly put an effort to figure out what to do with the problem of unemployment and under employment.” The Minister however disclosed that she is content to have seen the facilities provided for future trainees, in three skill areas one being the program for general duty assistant which involves training of young people above the age of 18 in a bid to find for themselves an opportunity for employment in hospital care. “ISFL is promising the youths with job opportunities then they should that their promise is fulfilled,” she asserted.
